jme of Redmond, WA is the newest hair farmer here at TheHairFarmer.com.  This is a little about her:

i design clothing (www.salvationware.com) and i am also a welder...my other real passion in life is rescuing animals!! i have fostered and rehomed over 27 dogs in the last 2 years...i am also a girl scout leader for 12-13 year old girls...and i have been growing my hair to donate it for a few years...

Yesterday I read with great interest a story on The Seattle Times news site by Nancy Bartley about a 7 year old Carina Ablemanwho donated her hair to Locks of Love for Valentine's Day .  A very heart warming story, but I was more than a little horrified when I started reading the comments.

According to this article on the site for the Puget Sound Business Journal , hair farming and selling can be rather profitable.  I prefer to grow my hair for kids and charity.
